Week 2- monday to friday (3 to 7 /2022)

REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE 
We restarted our teaching practice after Christmas holidays. we reached school right at 9 15 am everyday then signed our register, and we stayed in our alloted classroom. The very first day of this week was in a celebration mood.The school was celebrated new year with all students and faculties , as a part of this they prepared chicken biryani for all. We were able to participate in it too. After that I had a period in 9A2 division and after it also a period in 8th standard. Then at lunch break everyone got biriyani. That was a delicious experience to us. When we got free time we did the work to be done.That was a memorable day. In second day, I had no period. In second hour I went for an observation class of Devika A S , teacher trainee from physical science.she took the topic named" concentrated and diluted solutions" using of activity method. she did really well. In third day, I had a biology period in 9 A1 division. Sreedevi teacher our option teacher also with me for observation. she provided some suggestions after the class. In fourth day I had a substitution class on 9th standard. I went for peer observation class of harilekshmi, a teacher trainee from my department in third hour. She took the topic" Excretory organs and their functions". She did well. In fifth day I had 2 periods in 8th standard in first third hours and also a substitution class there in work experience hour. That was Very interesting with the participation from students. This week was very memorable and also productive to us.

CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In this week students of 8th standard were taught using of teaching manual from their second chapter from part 2 of basic science textbook. 8th standard students were taught biotic and abiotic Factors, food chain, trophic levels and food web. The students of 9th standard were taught using teaching manual of their first unit from part 2 of biology text. They were taught excretion and excretory organs and their functions. Teaching aids such as charts and cutouts were used for both classes appropriately based on the topic taught. The reflective journals were also done this week.


OVERALL REFLECTION OF CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE

The students of 8th standard and 9th standard were given teaching manual oriented activity based classroom experience. Next three teaching manual of eight standard was completed effectively. 10 charts and 2 cutout were prepared for eight standard. Total 2 teaching manuals were completed in both 9 A1 and A2 divisions and four charts are prepared for them. Students were given followup activities like assignment and short note in science diary.

Science day celebration February 28, 2022 National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir.C.V Raman on 28 February 1928.For his discovery, Sir C.V.
